About the role:
We are currently seeking Lecturers in Esports to join our Sport, Public Service and Travel department at The Bedford College Group .
As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. Teaching - Prepare, deliver, and assess subject specialisms; Support and guide students; Manage students' learning; Undertake course administration.
2. Curriculum Development - Contribute to curriculum and innovative teaching; Prepare schemes of work; Develop new learning materials; Extend students' learning experience.
3. Assessment and Monitoring - Assess students' work; Monitor and record progress; Prepare reports; Implement quality processes.
4. Marketing and Promotion - Participate in marketing activities; Interview potential students; Take part in Open Days and other events.
5. Statutory Duties - Promote and safeguard welfare; Promote equality and diversity; Follow health and safety requirements; Participate in training and development.
About you:
6. Qualifications - Degree in Esports or related subject; GCSE English and Maths (grades A-C) or equivalent; Certificate in Education or willingness to achieve.
7. Knowledge and Experience - Up-to-date knowledge of Esports developments; Experience working with diverse backgrounds; High performance in previous roles; Promoting equality and diversity.
8. Skills - Effective communication face to face, on the telephone, and in writing; Excellent organisational skills; Supporting high-quality learning experiences; Creating a welcoming environment.
9. Commitment - Promoting and safeguarding welfare; Continuous skills and knowledge update; Flexible approach to work and working times; Willingness to travel to all service locations.
10. Personal Attributes - Making a positive contribution to the team; Promoting the College’s reputation; Maintaining appropriate relationships and personal boundaries; Awareness of health and safety requirements.
