We are looking for dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistants to provide one-on-one support to children with SEN in primary schools across Bristol. About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant providing 1:1 support, you will work closely with students who have various SEN, helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop both academically and socially. You will collaborate with class teachers and other school staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child can thrive. Immediate work is available, with both full-time and part-time opportunities to suit your availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to children with SEN, helping them engage with lessons and tasks
Assist in the development of tailored learning plans to support each child's individual needs
Help children with their personal, social, and emotional development
Encourage and promote positive behaviour and self-esteem
Work closely with teachers and other staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies
Ensure that children are safe and supported at all times in the school environment
About You:
Experience working with children, preferably with SEN, is essential
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to adapt to the individual needs of children and provide tailored support
Understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEN and a passion for helping them succeed
Availability for full-time or part-time work with immediate start
Enhanced DBS clearance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
