Job Description Cloud Software Engineer - GCP (SC Cleared) Duration: 9 Months Rate: £650 per day Location: Hybrid Start: ASAP IR35 Status: Inside An SC Cleared Cloud Software Engineer is required for our Government client who is experienced in backend/infrastructure or full stack. As part of an agile and multi-disciplinary development team, you will learn from and support each other in the delivery, support and continuous improvement of critical systems and tools. You will be working on Cloud Technologies- In particular Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Duties include: As the Cloud Software Engineer you will be responsible for: Designing, delivery and maintenance of quality software products to serve a variety of user needs and enhancing existing software products to meet evolving user needs. Maintaining and supporting services, identifying, locating and fixing faults, and taking proactive actions to avoid loss of service. Triaging issues and building stories for more involved issues, document processes and support more junior colleagues. Evaluating and adopting tools and approaches appropriate for the environment. Supporting an environment where continuous or “on demand” delivery can be enabled by the business, using effective delivery and deployment techniques. Sharing knowledge of tools and techniques; identifying and sharing good practices and collaborating to improve the capability of the team Peer reviewing the work of others. Essential skills & experience required: Possesses current SC Level Security Clearance - essential A Cloud Software Engineer/Developer with knowledge of Cloud technologies, with a willingness to collaborate, learn and grow within the team. You will be working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) utilising Angular 2 and have good working knowledge of TypeScript, HTML language, Node.js, CSS, Angular Framework, Angular Material, JavaScript, RJXS, HTML5, Public cloud providers e.g. AWS, GCPTerraform, Cloud Formation, Python, Identity and Access management (IAM) Knowledge of CICD pipelines, and how to apply RBAC in Complex Environment Ability to support the prioritisation and defining of approaches to the full Software Development Life Cycle, from defining user stories through to testing, delivery and ongoing support of products. Design, code, test and support complex work, following key principles and design patterns, and carry out agreed maintenance and operational tasks. Identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes. Work collaboratively to peer review work of others, share knowledge and support more junior colleagues. Please be advised this role requires you to attend the client site two days per week.
