The Role: As the Head of Market Development, you are responsible for the overall growth in activity, within the business. We are looking for a goal orientated individual who is experienced and highly capable with engaging a large and diverse group of clinicians and external stakeholders. What You'll Do: Responsible for the scaling of all new service developments and enhancements once deployed Lead, mentor, and develop the Market Development Team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. Responsible for the delivery of activity budgets, related to specific service developments being introduced by the Service Development and Clinical Reference Groups (CRGs) Responsible for educating and engaging our current and potential referrers of the GenesisCare value proposition and opportunities (e.g. Credentialing, CPD, MDT access) Partner with the Chief Growth Officer with new market entry Doctor engagement & communication What You'll Have: Experience and skills: Customer Centric Mindset Demonstrating a commitment to ‘customer’ experience Think creatively to continuously improve our approach to referrer engagement Communication Skills Be a collaborator with internal stakeholders (Eg. Centre Leaders) Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Can articulate a vision and strategy to both internal and external stakeholders. Emotional Intelligence Empathy: Able to understand and relate to doctor emotions and day to day challenges Self-Awareness: Recognise and manage your own emotions, regardless of circumstance, to maintain professionalism Relationship – building: Foster trust and focus on developing long term referrer loyalty Forward thinking Demonstrate an ability and vision for anticipating future ‘customer’ needs, and in partnership with fellow head of functions, curate strategies to take advantage of them. Leadership Experience of working in a senior sale orientated role would be preferable. Experience of managing, coaching and mentoring a team is essential. A priority will be to recruit, develop and retain top talent in the Market Development Team Being able invoke trust by exceeding ‘customer’ expectations and being consistently reliable. Demonstrating an ability for being decisive and consequent when making strategic decisions relating to doctor engagement and education. Experience of working with Clinicians would be preferable. Data Utilisation Proficient in analysing large volumes of data to communicate trading performance, trends as well as diagnosing opportunities and/or risks Technical Proficiency Being a subject matter expert in radiotherapy or SACT would be preferable Qualifications and Knowledge: Relevant degree or equivalent real-world experience within the domain of customer experience Technical Had experience of, or an awareness of available ‘CRM’ software solutions Industry knowledge of software solutions Familiarity with sales methodologies like SPIN selling, challenger sale or consultative selling techniques Industry specific Knowledge of the associated workload/commitments a Clinician has, when operating a private practice Experience of forecasting performance and able to report against key performance indicators Deep knowledge of either radiotherapy or SACT People management Able to demonstrate experience of managing a team dispersed across a large geography Experience of setting team goals and objectives Experience at conducting performance reviews, coaching and mentoring Experience at hiring and onboarding new team members; including authoring role profiles & adverts, conducting interviews and designing onboarding programmes Experience of implementing change within a team Other requirements for this role: National travel It will be necessary to meet with colleagues and clinicians across the UK.
