Band 6 Community OT 22.5 hours (based in Garswood, St Helens)
Our Community Specialist Rehabilitation Service comprises 2 teams, which provide specialist inter-disciplinary rehabilitation to patients with complex rehabilitation needs, as part of Cheshire and Merseyside Rehabilitation Network (CMRN).
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Locality 1 Community Specialist Rehabilitation Team, based in Garswood Clinic, St Helens, which covers St Helens and Knowsley. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your post-graduate experience in neurorehabilitation/complex rehabilitation in a supportive interdisciplinary community team.
Support, learning and development opportunities are available via the service, as well as the wider CMRN and organisation. You will be supported in your role by the Lead Occupational Therapist and the wider interdisciplinary team, with access to regular clinical supervision.

Main duties of the job
You will work as an autonomous practitioner carrying out a range of specialist and comprehensive evidence-based Occupational Therapy interventions for patients with complex rehabilitation needs in a community setting.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
* Registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT) and the Health and Care Professions Council.
* Evidence of relevant post graduate training relevant to complex rehabilitation.
Knowledge & Experience
* Evidence of working with patients with Complex Rehab needs.
* Evidence of working in an NHS environment.
* Able to demonstrate a range of clinical skills relevant to patients with a broad range of complex rehabilitation presentations.
* Ability to initiate and apply evidence-based practice within a clinical area.
* Able to manage own time to effectively manage clinical caseload and other duties.
* Effective team player within a multidisciplinary team.
* Awareness of current NHS issues and relevant framework/quality indicators.
* Knowledge of current DH guidance.
* Evidence of Clinical Audit.
* Demonstrate a sound knowledge of clinical governance and its application within Occupational Therapy/Rehabilitation.
* Experience of working in a community environment.
