The Marist Catholic Primary School is looking for a proactive and friendly administrator to join the busy school office team to cover a period of maternity leave.
The successful candidate will be motivated, hardworking, and will show initiative working as part of our front office team. You will have the skills and experience to provide a wide range of administration duties for the school.
The front office is a busy and varied working environment, ideal for someone who is friendly and welcoming and has the ability to remain calm under pressure.
You will have the skills to interact well with children and be committed to their wellbeing.
You will be confident with the use of Microsoft Office and IT and be able to remain professional when handling confidential material. You will also have excellent communication skills and ideally have experience of working in a busy office, or in a school, along with first aid and safeguarding experience.
You will also be responsible for promoting a professional and friendly point of contact for parents, carers, and visitors, ensuring that all queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
We require someone who is dedicated, flexible, and self-motivated. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. We are looking for someone who:
1. Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and shows high levels of initiative
2. Will interact well with the children and be committed to their wellbeing
3. Has excellent communication skills
4. Can consistently deliver high-quality support
5. Has a friendly and pleasant personality
6. Is able to demonstrate basic secretarial and IT skills (including Excel)
7. Is enthusiastic to learn
8. Has GCSE grade C or equivalent (all shortlisted applicants will need to provide evidence of Maths and English qualifications at GCSE level or equivalent at the interview)
9. Demonstrates accuracy, flexibility, and the capability of working under pressure within a team environment.
