ACQUISITIONS ANALYST
POSITION SPECIFICATION
Shine Associates, LLC has been retained to search, identify and recruit an Acquisitions Analyst on behalf of our client (‘Company’). This position will be based at the Company’s headquarters in Wakefield, MA.

CLIENT DESCRIPTION
Our client was founded in 2014 and is a vertically integrated real estate manager that invests in infill logistics properties. The Company has completed over $2.5 billion in total transactions and is currently investing its 4th comingled, discretionary fund at $948 million of committed equity. The firm has offices in Wakefield, MA, Linthicum Heights, MD and New York, NY.
ACQUISITIONS ANALYST
The Analyst will work closely on a daily basis with the firm’s acquisitions and capital markets and portfolio management teams. The position will expose the analyst to a wide spectrum of duties within a private equity real estate organization involving most facets of the company’s operations. The position demands a very dedicated, hard-working individual with strong analytical and social skills, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work efficiently. Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability, at times, to execute with limited guidance from supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Acquisition Support: Assist the acquisition and investment teams as needed on underwriting, market research, and closing transactions.
* Financial Modeling: Underwrite potential investment opportunities using Argus Enterprise discounted cash flow models and other financial analyses using Excel.
* Analysis Support Materials: Prepare maps, aerials, demographic reports, photos and other such material for both analysis and presentation purposes.
* Investment Presentations: Help draft investment summaries for investment committee review and approval.
* Research and Special Projects: Provide support to various team members as needed on special projects. Creative, problem-solving and “detective” skills required.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree with training in business, finance or real estate.
* A minimum of two years of direct relevant real estate work experience, preferably at real estate investment firm, brokerage, investment bank, financial institution or commercial real estate lender.
* Candidates must have working knowledge of real estate finance, solid analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
* Deep experience with Excel and Argus Enterprise is required.
