£17p/h to £18p/h - dependant on chef level & experience.
Contract - Temporary both full time and part time available.
We are looking to add to our fantastic pool of chefs to support businesses within the local areas. You will be required to support during the peak summer seasons, as well as the off-peak seasons, and any holiday cover, sickness, and general recruitment support.
Majority of the environments we supply chefs and cooks to are:
* Hotels
* Event-based establishments - from conferences to outdoor catering companies, and corporate events cooking for large numbers
* Restaurants & pubs
* Weddings
* Cafes
* DBS environments - including schools and care homes
* Contract catering sites, and many more.

The Working Environment:
Every day won't be the same, as we cover a varied number of places. You will be cooking for a large number of guests daily, preparing for a conference or event one day, working within a hotel cooking food to order the next, or even working at an outdoor event that requires a lot of bulk cooking.
You will be required to work with fresh food daily, prepare food menus, manage your own workstations, and work within a team of chefs to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
You may also work for corporate events, which may include working at different food stations like a pizza station, preparing British classics menus, or even preparing for 3-course dinners for weddings or buffet-style events.
Working Times and Shifts:
As you can imagine, being a chef does mean you are expected to work days, evenings, weekends, and nights. Shifts will range from 7/8am starts and finish up to 6pm. For some events, these may extend into the evening up to 10/11pm.
The Commute:
As we cover many locations across the East Midlands including Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire, your commute will vary. If you have a car and are flexible with locations, great! If you're limited to public transport, we'll only send you to places that have public transport links and provide you with all the information you need to get there.
Requirements and Skills:
* Previous experience as a chef, at least up to senior chef de partie role
* Flexibility in shift patterns - i.e. must be able to work day and night shifts depending on when the clients need cover
* Available to cover ad hoc last-minute sickness requests for our clients, which can be on the same day
* Great communication and teamwork skills
* Level 2 food hygiene certificate (ideal but not essential as we can provide this at a cost)
* Food allergen certificates within the last year
* Ability to work under pressure, within a team and alone
* Due to certain locations, a full UK driving license is required along with own access to a vehicle
* Own chef whites and chef knives
* Experience cooking for large numbers for event-style businesses & hotels is preferred
