Tezlom is currently recruiting for this exciting opportunity for a Healthcare/Activities Assistant for our client based in Pinner, London As an Activities HCA you'll support residents' well-being by facilitating engaging activities, promoting social interaction, and ensuring their comfort and safety, while also assisting with basic care tasks as needed Position: HCA/Activities Assistant Service: Nursing Home (62 Beds) Location: Pinner, London (HA5) Job Type: Permanent Hrs per Week: 37.5hrs Key Responsibilities: Assisting with Activity Planning and Facilitation: Assist the Activities Coordinator with developing and implementing activity schedules that cater to residents' interests and needs. Assist with organizing a variety of activities, including games, outings, crafts, music, and social gatherings. Resident Interaction and Support: Encourage residents to participate in activities and social interactions. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents. Assist residents with mobility, personal care, and other basic needs as required. Basic Care Tasks: Assisting with personal care tasks such as dressing, bathing, and toileting. Helping residents with mobility, including walking and transfers. Serving meals and assisting with feeding. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents. Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate records of residents' participation in activities and their progress. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and staff members about residents' needs and preferences. Report any concerns or changes in residents' conditions or behaviour. Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and therapists, to provide holistic care. Participate in team meetings and staff training sessions. Skills and Qualities: Empathy and Compassion: A genuine care for the well-being of others is essential. Experience: In a similar role is essential Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
