Staff Match are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager to join an established nursery group in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The ideal candidate must have a real passion for early years, team building as well as excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
Person Specification:
1. NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification
2. Experience of leading and motivating teams
3. Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum
4. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
5. Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
6. Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role
Some of the Deputy Manager responsibilities will include:
1. Work closely with the Nursery Manager and provide cover in times of absence
2. Ensure all staff understand and comply with nursery policies and procedures
3. Support and mentor members of staff in the EYFS curriculum and ensure children's learning and development is accurately recorded
4. Review and monitor planning within rooms and across the nursery
5. Carry out regular staff supervisions and identify training needs
6. Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and other childcare professionals
7. Attend staff meetings, open days, and nursery events
8. Ensure correct staff ratios are maintained
9. Coordinate staff meetings and training
