Apex Scotland is the leading employment and training organisation specialising in work with people with convictions, offering a diverse range of services for young people and adults to help them break down barriers to employment and engage in education, employment or community activities. You will work in partnership with the Fife Council Social Work Young People’s Team and associated partners to deliver a service supporting young people aged 16-24 with care experience. Individuals are likely to have experienced or are continuing to experience changing home environments, people and places where they call home, and associated with this, challenges with personal relationships, feelings of self-worth and community connectedness, and low completion of education. The Lead Practitioner is required to support individuals along the Apex Scotland Participant Journey, with personal development opportunities, into meaningful activity which may involve further or higher education or employment. You will also operate Fife wide and are required to be mobile and operate in an outreach manner, with means of access to regular travel and movement which may include transporting participants in your own vehicle. Membership of the Prevention of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is required. This post is funded by Fife Council Children’s Services with funding until 31 March 2027.
