Calibration Manager - Salisbury
46,000 - 47,000 per annum
The post holder will be responsible for proper planning and scheduling for laboratory instrument services including maintenance, repair, commissioning/decommissioning, validation, and calibration of laboratory instruments. They will be responsible for reviewing all work to ensure performance, safety, and statutory and regulatory compliance is adhered to at all times.
* Contract: Permanent, 46 - 47k per annum
* Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm
Site requires a security clearance funded by employer
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Participate in the development and implementation of quality initiatives to address system inadequacies as well as to achieve continual quality improvement objectives.
* Support and carry out quality initiatives to address system inadequacies. This may include implementing new procedures, tracking, analysing, reporting, and problem-solving, whilst ensuring relevant site-wide Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
* Participate in regulatory audits to demonstrate that operations are proceeding according to SOP practices, that routine testing of instrumentation achieves accurate results, and that any identified shortcomings are documented and resolved through a systematic approach for continuous improvement.
* Support site goals and objectives, policies, and procedures in compliance with quality systems and review the calibration procedures to ensure appropriateness and conformity to national/industry standards annually together with Engineering and Scientific stakeholders.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Proficient with equipment calibration/maintenance planning and scheduling processes/procedures, procurement of materials, cost estimating, sub-contracting, and monitoring of job schedules and costs.
* Can apply software skills as necessary to perform job duties (ex. Microsoft Office, planning software tools, spare parts system, etc.).
