Thrive provides tailored support to families, delivered by a team of Family Liaison Workers and supported by volunteers. We encourage and empower families to build their skills, confidence, and parental wellbeing to create a stable, positive environment for their children.
We are currently recruiting a Family Liaison Worker to join our Thrive programme in Buckinghamshire.
Please note that due to the festive period, we will be slow to respond to applications. Interviews will take place on the 7th & 8th of January.
The impact you will have.
Working with families, you will build positive relationships and provide individualized support, advice, and practical help that enables the family to strengthen their capacity and capability to create stability for themselves and their children. You could be supporting people with a variety of support needs, which may include substance dependency, domestic violence, learning difficulties, social exclusion, or lack of parenting skills.
This role is permanent, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The service is delivered flexibly between the hours of 07.30 – 17.30. The post is mainly based in High Wycombe; however, some travel across Buckinghamshire may be required on occasion.
The closing date for this role is Tuesday, 31st December. Interviews will take place on Tuesday, 7th, and Wednesday, 8th January.
What do we need from you?
You should have at least one year’s experience of working with or volunteering with families, carers, or children, and have a good level of knowledge of some of the issues that can affect everyday life, such as mental health, anxiety, depression, and the difficulties faced by parents/carers of children with behavioral issues.
People might say that you’re a good listener, supportive, and willing to go that extra mile. As long as you’re happy to listen and support people to access the services they need, then this could be the role for you. Due to the nature of this role, a driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is required.
