The Role
A number of opportunities have arisen for Seasonal Passenger Services Operatives within our busy and diverse Passenger Services Department. You will be key in the delivery of terminal operations providing critical services to our passengers and business partners, including providing assistance to passengers who require additional support, the management of the baggage belt system to ensure the continuous operation and transporting passengers by our unique electric fleet from the terminal to their aircraft.
A full training program will be provided over a number of weeks to the successful staff members giving them full oversight of their role. This role has the opportunity for progression within the airport teams providing a good base for development of aviation experience.
A day in the life of some responsibilities:
* Providing assistance to passengers living with reduced mobility or disabilities.
* Understanding and assisting with baggage belt system operations, including clearing baggage blockages.
* Working on our Front of House desk, facilitating the full meet and greet process.
* Assisting on Ambulift vehicles including driving the passenger coach to and from aircraft (Full Training Provided).
* Communicating with passengers departing and arriving ensuring they have a positive customer service experience.
* Work with our business partners to provide a great customer journey.
* Driving of airfield coaches as required, so as to enable the safe and efficient delivery of a cost-effective service, which provides the highest standard of customer care.
Reporting to the Passenger Services Duty Manager you will be accountable for the delivery of safe, secure, and customer focused coaching and assistance services to customers. All applicants need to hold a full UK driving licence (Additional PCV holder licences will be required to operate larger airport vehicles).
What do the shifts look like?
The contract will be for a minimum of 20 hours, the service may require flexibility due to service delivery needs as our operations offers a 24-7, 365-day service. Shifts are likely to include a mix of early morning starts and night shifts, with some shifts starting before or finishing after public transport hours. Therefore, applicants without regular access to a vehicle or other means of transport should consider this carefully.
