Background
Signal is building on its outstanding record of customer managed services, enabling new and existing customers to enhance their customer and supporter experience. This role is crucial for generating new leads and nurturing client relationships, key to our growth plans. The focus areas include Sales Support, Client Engagement, Sales Strategy, Event Planning, New Client Onboarding, Reporting and Administration, and Market Research and Analysis.
Purpose of the Role
This role is responsible for supporting the sales team in driving business growth by generating leads and assisting in the coordination and execution of Signal’s sales strategy. This includes monitoring and nurturing prospects, outreach via email and phone, and ensuring good attendance and effective sales follow-up for Signal’s thought leadership events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Support and Client Engagement:
Assist in identifying potential clients and generating new business leads through desk research, email outreach, and calling. Support consultants/subject matter experts in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals for potential clients. Maintain and nurture relationships with prospects, identifying opportunities to introduce Signal’s services.
2. Sales Strategy and Execution:
Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement sales strategies that align with Signal’s growth objectives. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and client landscape to provide insights that shape the sales approach. Assist in managing the sales pipeline, tracking leads, and ensuring timely follow-up with prospects and clients. Ensure all client interactions are documented and tracked in the CRM system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
3. Event Planning and Follow-up:
Collaborate with Signal’s marketing team to generate good prospect attendance at thought-leadership events. Develop and execute strategies for prospect follow-up and sales conversion with support from consultants and subject matter experts.
4. New Client Onboarding:
Coordinate with Signal’s contracts team and clients’ procurement departments to ensure smooth and compliant onboarding of new client contracts.
5. Reporting and Administration:
Assist in the preparation of sales reports and forecasts, providing insights into sales performance against targets. Manage and maintain the CRM system, ensuring all prospect and sales data is up-to-date and accessible.
6. Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct desk research to identify new business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends. Analyze competitor offerings and provide recommendations on how to position the company’s services effectively. Assist in developing marketing materials and sales collateral that support the company’s business development efforts.
Success Measures
1. Number of meetings generated with the target stakeholder community.
2. Event registrations/attendees and follow-up meetings generated.
3. High-quality proposals/presentation materials.
4. Positive productive working relationships with colleagues across the business (especially in Growth and Marketing).
