They are seeking a dynamic CEO to join their London-based start-up and lead the launch of their new brand. This role offers a rare chance to make a significant impact on public health by promoting the benefits of sunlight. This role will have the opportunity to manage their business, working closely with the board and handling all aspects of the company’s operations. This position is ideal for someone ready to lead a business with a strong product, financial backing, and cutting-edge technology already in place.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all company operations, including setting financial targets and managing budgets and teams to achieve them.
Provide the Board with regular financial updates, including profit and loss statements and cash flow reports.
Take responsibility for the overall management of the business, ensuring accountability for revenue and profitability.
Develop and communicate a strategic growth plan.
Create and implement business development strategies for the UK and international markets.
Formulate and execute the brand’s marketing strategy and associated business plans.
Foster strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
Continuously seek ways to improve cost efficiencies and promote a ‘fail fast’ culture to drive entrepreneurial growth.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A passion for and experience in the beauty industry, particularly with beauty products.
Expertise in marketing, including social media, PR, and managing agencies.
Sales experience in the UK beauty sector, ideally with premium retailers like Space NK and Selfridges.
Over 3 years of experience with a challenger brand in the beauty industry, preferably with pre-revenue experience.
Strong financial literacy and a cost-conscious approach to brand building.
Experience working with PE/VC-backed businesses.
Skills in recruiting, building, and developing teams.
Proven track record in setting financial targets, managing budgets, and leading departments.
Bonus: French language skills.
A university or college degree.
Proficiency in PC applications, especially Excel.
An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to handle both operational and strategic tasks.
High emotional intelligence and experience collaborating with a founder.
