We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Group AI Regulatory Engagement Lead.
In this role, you will:
- Regulatory Engagement and Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact for regulatory requests regarding HSBC's AI use cases, ensuring clear communication and timely responses.
- Regulatory Landscape Monitoring: Track evolving AI regulations and guidelines across multiple jurisdictions, assessing their impact on HSBC's AI strategy and operations.
- Governance and Compliance Alignment: Ensure AI initiatives adhere to internal governance frameworks and regulatory control requirements, working closely with compliance, legal, and risk teams.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate across business units to collect, analyse, and submit required information for regulatory engagements, ensuring alignment with HSBC's AI policies.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on regulatory developments, risks, and compliance strategies for senior leadership and stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Regulatory and Compliance Expertise: Strong understanding of AI/ML regulations, governance frameworks, and industry best practices in financial services.
- Analytical and Problem:Solving Skills: Ability to assess complex regulatory changes, interpret their impact on AI initiatives, and develop actionable compliance strategies.
- Stakeholder Management and Communication: Proven ability to engage with regulators and internal teams, translating regulatory requirements into business:focused recommendations.
- Risk and Governance Understanding: Familiarity with control frameworks and regulatory policies related to AI/ML, such as GDPR, CCPA, and financial sector:specific AI governance.
- Strategic and Organisational Skills: Experience managing multiple regulatory engagements simultaneously, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast:paced environment.
