2020 Recruitment is working with our engineering client to recruit an experienced Logistics Co-ordinator to join their team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement of goods, materials, and equipment while maintaining excellent communication with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing all logistics operations to ensure smooth and cost-effective supply chain management.
This is a permanent position that will be based at either the Irvine or Manchester site.

The Role
As the Logistics Co-Ordinator you will be responsible for the preparation of import/ export documentation, maintenance of internal records regarding shipments, booking of transport and sending details of shipments to customers
Key Responsibilities
As the Logistics Co-Ordinator your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Responsible for arranging transport to Export customers ensuring on time delivery of customer orders
* Responsible for arranging uplift from supply chain and coordinating the import entry
* Expediting & Filing of all documentation relating to the above when required
* Preparation of documentation to meet customer & HMRC Requirements
* Advising customers of shipping details, liaison with freight forwarders to arrange shipping in a timely manner and achieve cost effective shipments ensuring the customer is updated throughout the process
* Liaise with other departments to ensure orders are on schedule to ensure on time delivery
* Produce and supply customers with all relevant documentation prior to and after despatch date
Requirements
To be considered for the Logistics Co-ordinator role, you should have:
* Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport coordination
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures (preferred)
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
* A strong understanding of health & safety and compliance within logistics
* Right to work in the UK
