The Role
The IT System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Banks IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth and secure operation of servers, networks, and systems both in the cloud and on-premises. Duties include providing 2nd & 3rd line support for troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining high-availability systems, supporting the implementation of disaster recovery solutions such as backups and restoration, and overseeing project-based tasks and continuous improvements. Tasks are performed to defined quality, budget, and time constraints to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient IT services.
Working alongside our managed services providers, this role is responsible for the following areas. Demonstrable, hands-on experience in at least five of them is expected.
Server and Infrastructure Management Network Administration Monitoring and Performance Tuning Backup and Disaster Recovery Security Management User and Access Management Automation and Scripting Cloud Services Management (SaaS, PaaS) Patch Management and Software Updates Troubleshooting and Technical Support Documentation and Compliance Collaboration with Development and IT Teams
To be considered for this role you must have demonstrable experience or qualifications in the following:-
Endpoint Administrator Associate CompTIA Network + or CCNA Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals Windows Server Fundamentals AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate)
Experience of Terraform Associate/AZ-400 (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) or AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer Associate) and or experience in public sector or financial services would highly desirable.
