My client is a friendly, reputable law firm that has an opening within their busy team for an experienced Legal Secretary (experience in a Family or Litigation department would be an advantage).
Key skills are:
1. Document production, audio and copy typing
2. Generating legal forms
3. Managing diaries, ensuring they are up to date and reminding fee earners of meetings etc. on a daily basis
4. Photocopying, printing, organising couriers, sending out letters, etc.
5. Opening and closing of general files, general filing, record keeping and archiving of files
6. Using effective systems to ensure that both short and long term tasks are completed within required time-scale
7. Taking internal and external telephone queries, responding as appropriate and/or ensuring that all messages are passed on in a timely manner
8. Monitoring post and/or e-mails and dealing with as appropriate and ensuring that all client related correspondence is passed on to an appropriate fee earner if the relevant person is out of the office
