Crest Nicholson is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Strategic Land & Planning Manager. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work alongside our experienced professionals and contribute to the delivery of strategic land and planning objectives across the Group.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Strategic Land & Planning Managers in identifying and securing strategic land opportunities in line with the company's growth strategy.
* Conduct thorough research and analysis of potential land acquisitions, including feasibility studies, planning policies, and market trends.
* Assist in managing and coordinating the planning application process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
* Liaise with internal teams, external consultants, and local authorities to support the successful delivery of planning applications and appeals.
* Collaborate with the Land and Planning team to prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
* Contribute to the negotiation and acquisition of land, including preparing and reviewing legal documentation and agreements.
* Stay updated on industry trends, policies, and legislation related to land acquisition and planning to provide informed recommendations and insights.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Town Planning, Real Estate, or Land Management.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the property development or planning sector is desirable.
* Knowledge of planning policies, regulations, and procedures in the UK.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed research and feasibility studies.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
* Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Proficient in using planning software and tools, such as GIS and CAD, is advantageous.
* A proactive and self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for strategic land and planning.
