Role Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Salary: £14.65 - £15 PH
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled, motivated, enthusiastic Pupil Referral Unit Teaching Assistant to support pupils at one of our 'outstanding' schools located in Oldham. * Previous PRU experience is advantageous.
The Successful Candidate Will:
* Have a creative approach to teaching and provide not only academic but also emotional and pastoral support to pupils.
* Possess outstanding behaviour and classroom management skills and develop positive relationships with staff and pupils.
* Be committed, dedicated, and resilient while understanding the reasons why children can display challenging behaviour, and be able to de-escalate and support children proactively.
* Support children in a non-judgemental, non-confrontational manner.
* Be able to work independently and as part of a team and show initiative.
* Demonstrate that they are effective teaching assistants with a wealth of experience in supporting teaching, learning, SEN pupils, and children that display complex and challenging behaviours.
* Understand the role of a teaching assistant in supporting the class teacher and ensuring the learning environments are maintained to a high standard.
* Be able to deliver small group or 1:1 learning/social, emotional, and behavioural programmes to secure outstanding progress.
