South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity to undertake a fully funded sponsorship to qualify as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) - Health Visitor. The Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) (Health Visiting) course is offered full-time at Post Graduate Diploma level (Level 7), in partnership with Birmingham City University.

Main duties of the job
To engage in training in order to complete the BSc (Hons) Degree / Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health (Specialist Practitioner award in Health Visiting).
This will involve liaising with all relevant parties within the practice area and at the assigned University in order to gain the desired 50% theory and 50% practical element of the course. In order to attain successful completion, the student will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the primary care setting, carrying out clinical duties with clients as agreed with their Practice Teacher. The student will be accountable to the respective local manager according to local management structures, and responsible to the allocated Practice Teacher for the term of training.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* RN or RM Current NMC Registration.
* Appropriate entry level criteria for the university education programme, and at least 120 credits at level 5 (diploma).
* Portfolio evidence of continual professional & academic development.
* For those wishing to undertake the degree at post graduate diploma level - applicants should hold an appropriate degree.
