Role Information
At our Hair & Beauty Academies, we offer hands-on experience in real-world salons, with accredited courses from Levels 1 to 4. We have 13 academies nationwide, shaping the future of the hair and beauty industry.
As a Hairdressing Tutor, you will deliver and assess courses for apprentices, adult learners, and study programmes, empowering learners to reach their potential and achieve outstanding results.
The role offers flexibility, with working days and hours varying from Monday to Sunday, 07:00 am to 10:00 pm, depending on course schedules.
Duties
1. Plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions, ensuring learner progression.
2. Follow the scheme of work and EIF standards.
3. Deliver theory and practical sessions aligned with industry standards.
4. Assess learners' work and provide constructive feedback.
5. Manage learner records using digital systems.
6. Embed Maths, English, digital literacy, and personal development.
7. Participate in quality assurance activities.
8. Promote a positive learning environment and professional standards.
9. Engage in continuous professional development.
10. Support learners' employability and progression.
11. Collaborate with the team for curriculum improvement.
12. Generate or use existing teaching resources.
13. Deliver KPIs and complete reports.
14. Promote the ethos and culture of LCG.
15. Contribute to salon commercial targets.

Experience & Skills
Industry experience as a hairstylist, experience in delivering apprenticeships or adult education, and strong digital literacy.
Qualifications
Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Hairdressing or equivalent, recognized teaching qualification (or working towards), Assessors Award (or working towards), and GCSEs in Maths & English at grade C or equivalent.
