Motor Trade Claim Investigator
The role:
We currently have an opportunity for a Motor Trade Claim Investigator.
Reporting to the Motor Investigations Team Manager, as one of 8 investigators in our Motor Investigations team, we promote best practice for the detection and containment of fraud, working exclusively on Motor insurance claims for Motor Trade, self-drive hire and corporate clients.
Supported by the Fraud Data & Insight Team and adjusting colleagues, you will be responsible for investigating and handling Motor Trade claims from cradle to grave and liaise with Policyholders, brokers and our client insurers.
You will be accountable for effectively managing a caseload of high value claims whilst keeping abreast of current legislation and codes of practice as they relate to insurance investigations. Naturally, you`ll be self-motivated and sufficiently flexible to meet the needs of clients and colleagues.
The salary for the role will reflect the level at which you will be working and the strategic importance we place on our development of our work in this area.
You will have/will be:
1. A minimum of 2 years recent experience of handling and/or investigating Motor Trade claims (critical).
2. Able to conduct conversation management interviews with customers and witnesses in face-to-face video calls (critical).
3. Able to detect/recognise, investigate and prove policy and fraud.
4. Knowledge of litigation procedure and the Civil Procedure Rules.
5. The experience, knowledge and confidence to give instructions and direction to panel solicitors to achieve the best outcome for clients.
6. Awareness of commercial motor claims (motor trade and fleet), insurance schedules and endorsements.
7. The personal attributes to be respected and admired by key stakeholders.
8. Writing reports.
