The Opportunity
The successful post holder will undertake teaching in the field of Creative Producing with a particular focus on film development, production management and distribution. We are seeking an enthusiastic practitioner with a strong interest in nurturing student films and creating connections between academia and the professional world. You will be able to evidence relevant industry connections and an established body of film work to support this.
Drawing on feature and short film producing experience, the post holder will play a key role in expanding teaching and learning approaches in film across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be responsible for the creative development and logistical management of student film projects, including health and safety considerations as well as consistent alignment to industry practice and regulations.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Masters level PGT qualification in film or creative producing and/or commensurate professional experience in roles relevant to the post.
Experience of teaching and educational administration in higher education.
Comprehensive knowledge and expertise of methods and processes relating to film development, production and distribution.
Demonstrable ability to teach film at undergraduate level.
Understanding of a range of current international approaches to filmmaking.
Demonstrable commitment to a diverse and inclusive working environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively.
