Title: Livingston Center Coordinator of Student Services Institution: Volunteer State Community College Campus Location: VSCC-Livingston Center Job Summary: To coordinate the operations, activities, and events at the Center associated with all Student Services areas in order to assist students with financial aid, academic success, educational goals, and wraparound support. Job Duties: Assists Campus Director with coordinating the staffing needs and the daily operations. Answers questions relative to financial aid. Processes requests and answers questions relative to Adult Learners and Veterans Affairs and/or Veterans’ educational benefits. Provides admission and career guidance. Provides guidance to students as well as wraparound support as appropriate. Develops and implements programs and events aimed at student engagement to include but not limited to various student activities. Ensures that students attending classes during evening hours or online have access to student support resources. Schedules and implements new student orientation. Advises students, as needed. Supervises student workers and assists other staff with ambassadors and pioneer leaders. Collects admissions information and answers questions relative to admission to the College as appropriate. Manages the Center’s food pantry, The Feed. This position may assist at other campus locations, as needed. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Three (3) years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. Experience in higher education. Banner or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience. Slate or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to react to change productively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must have analytical skills and attention to detail.
