Our focus is on providing a bridge between formal education and real-world applications, with a special emphasis on the medical field for students in grades 6-12.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative STEM Education Curriculum Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing a one-of-a-kind course that demystifies the world of doctors for young learners. This program will illuminate the hands-on operations doctors undertake, simplify the intricate decision-making processes to diagnose problems, and introduce students to the tools and techniques used in medical practice. This course is intended to be both a supplemental after-school program and a key feature in our summer camp offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop a STEM curriculum focused on introducing students to the medical field in a comprehensible and engaging manner.
2. Work closely with educators and medical professionals to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the curriculum.
3. Simplify complex medical procedures and decision-making processes for a younger audience.
4. Ensure alignment with high school curriculums and compliance with educational standards.
5. Develop interactive modules that include hands-on activities with medical tools and devices.
6. Collaborate with schools and educational partners for seamless integration of the program.
7. Provide training and support for educators facilitating the program.
Job Requirements:
1. Master of Science in any medical field (Medical Doctor or Dentist credentials preferred).
2. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
3. STEM education certification is mandatory.
4. Comprehensive knowledge in curriculum development for students in grades 6-12.
5. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
6. Passion for education and a deep understanding of the importance of STEM in today’s world.
Work Hours: Regular working hours are from 9 am – 3 pm.
