Background In housing is preferred
The role will be to support care leavers to maintain and sustain their own tenancy/living independently. It will include working closely with the Personal Advisor whilst offering intensive 1-1 support directly with the young person.
The tenancy support worker will have a co-allocated caseload and will be working closely with housing and other partners to support a young person to live independently and will include advocating for young people at risk of homelessness. Care leavers can have a wide range of complex needs and unique vulnerabilities due to histories of trauma and abuse. The support worker will need a wide range of skills to break down any barriers to build meaningful and trusting relationships whilst navigating adult life with the young person.

We are looking for a 12 month trial period of this role within the care experienced team to see if this positively impacts our young people in terms of successfully managing and sustaining their tenancies.
