Your new company: A leading construction company is seeking to recruit an Office Administrator to work within their open office team. This company is searching for a confident communicator who is professional, able to work well under pressure, and contribute within a small team. This role is office-based in Accrington, Lancashire, offering tailored working hours and career progression, along with other great benefits. Standard working hours are Monday – Friday; 8:30am – 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break, but there can be some flexibility around this if required for the right candidate.
Your new role: As Office Administrator, you will be expected to support the wider office team, which will include:
* Receptionist duties, answering calls, emailing, filing, updating spreadsheets, dealing with contracts and important documentation.
* Assisting the accounts team with general administration during busy periods and assisting high management when and if required.
* You will be expected to work closely with colleagues, offering help and support with all administrative tasks.
* Ensuring the correct person knows that deliveries have been made and arranging for them to be stored correctly – and keeping the reception area clear.
* Photocopying including plan printing.
* Archiving including contract files.
* Scanning and archiving file returns from site and checking everything returned.
* Adding PPE requests to the spreadsheet.
* Keeping the Hardware Equipment Log up to date.
* Keeping the contracts list up to date.
What you'll need to succeed:
* Excellent verbal/written communication skills and a pleasant, friendly tone over the phone to clients and customers.
* A good team work ethic.
* The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
* A good understanding of technical and IT skills, particularly when it comes to database management and spreadsheets, while also possessing an eye for attention to detail.
