Key Responsibilities: As a Desktop Support Engineer, your core duties will include: Providing hands-on technical support within a Microsoft Windows environment. Managing and troubleshooting hardware and peripheral issues. Supporting and assisting with the configuration and maintenance of software applications, including Microsoft Office and other essential tools. Ensuring the efficient operation of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, with the opportunity to be involved in hardware and software purchasing decisions. Logging, tracking, and resolving IT support requests using our fault logging system. Assisting in software license management, ensuring compliance with company policies. Installing and configuring mobile telephony devices for staff use. Supporting document management systems to ensure the smooth flow of information. What We’re Looking For: To be successful in the Desktop Support Engineer role, we are looking for someone with: Essential Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of an HND in Computing or a related discipline. At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT support. Practical, hands-on experience working within a Microsoft Windows environment. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent applications. A solid understanding of computer hardware and peripherals, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Desirable Skills and Experience: Familiarity with fault logging systems for tracking and managing IT issues. Experience in managing software licenses and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements. Knowledge of hardware and software procurement processes. Familiarity with document management tools.
