Job Description
What the role involves
We are thrilled to invite a Part Time Despatch Operator to join our vibrant team at our Print Services Site in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to Scotland's leading newspapers. In this role, you'll be providing support for pallatisers and operating pallet trucks. Part of your tasks will involve engaging in general housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean workspace, as well as hopper feeding of inserts within the Despatch area.
You'll also find yourself preparing leaflets, along with completing daily sheets within the Despatch area. Training will be provided on all equipment/pallet trucks.

Your ability to keep things organised will be crucial as you manage various tasks and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail is another vital aspect of this position. You'll be responsible for checking orders meticulously to ensure accuracy throughout the despatch process.
Team collaboration is key here – we believe that working together leads to success. You’ll be part of a supportive and inclusive team where everyone pulls together to achieve common goals.
Your communication skills will help you coordinate with colleagues across the press hall and post press, ensuring seamless operations and a positive working atmosphere.
