This role is located in Manchester (hybrid).\n\nIn this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: \n\nProvide superior software development services in a fast-paced and innovative working environment\n\nWork with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements\n\nAnalyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business and technical issues\n\nActively participate in team discussions, provide guidance and expert opinion on the subject matter\n\nPerform coding, unit testing, implementation and documentation of solutions\n\nEnsure that expected application performance levels are achieved\n\nComply with BNY’s standard development methodology \n \n\nTo be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: \n\nBachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required\n\nExperience in software development required – proficiency in Java 8 or higher\n\nExperience in Spring Framework and proficiency with Spring Boot\n\nSolid coding and troubleshooting experience on Web Services and RESTful API\n\nStrong experience in messaging (IBM MQ preferred)\n\nStrong SQL skills to work on Relational databases\n\nStrong experience in SDLC, DevOps processes – CI/CD tools, Git, etc.\n\nGood understanding of monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Moogsoft\n\nKnowledge of Scrum and ability to work in a fast-paced environment\n\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail\n\nAbility to learn and pick up new skills and to perform with minimal management supervision\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\n\nKnowledge in data warehousing / data lakes / pipelines is a plus\n\nKnowledge in cloud technologies is preferred\n\nExperience in the securities or financial services industry is a big plus\n\nAt BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
