Due to continued growth, a tier one automotive supplier based in Birmingham is hiring for a maintenance engineer to join their well established team. With a superb manufacturing facility that includes a variety of automated and semi-automated machinery, this role offers a ton of training and personal development, along with social working hours on days Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities for the electrical maintenance engineer include -
- To provide breakdown repairs and planned maintenance to all machinery and plant on site
- Reacting to urgent breakdowns, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
- Fault finding both electrically and mechanically to diagnose faults and identify the solution
- Conducting TPM’s through the schedule, to ensure all equipment is routinely serviced and inspected
- Ordering of spares and logging of all maintenance activities on the system
To be successful in the role of electrical maintenance engineer, we’re looking for -
- A recognized qualification in either mechanical or electrical maintenance
- Previous exposure to maintenance of production machinery, preferably within an automotive plant
- A knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- The ability to fault find electrically and mechanically
- Flexibility towards overtime and additional shift based support when team members are on holiday
