Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the continuous monitoring and compliance of AALTO’s airworthiness and safety standards in alignment with regulatory and operational requirements. This includes preserving AALTO’s continual monitoring program to effectively capture risk analysis, hazard identification, and regulatory objectives. The role involves developing and managing high-level audit plans, overseeing external audits (regulatory and customer), and ensuring timely corrective actions, airworthiness data, and change requests are addressed and monitored.
Responsibilities:
1. Preserve AALTO’s continual monitoring program to capture risk analysis, hazard identification and regulatory objectives.
2. Develop and schedule high-level audit plan, ensuring timely completion.
3. Manage external audits (Regulatory and Customer).
4. Ensure corrective actions, airworthiness data and change requests are taken by responsible persons and monitor their progress.
5. Assist in the scoping, preparing, conducting and completion of instructions for continued Airworthiness (ICA).
6. Assist in the scoping, preparing, conducting and completion of Operational suitability data (OSD).
7. Assist with the hosting of Authority and Customer audits.
8. Maintain competence and knowledge in relation to the applicable regulatory requirements.
9. Coordinate functional areas output data required for senior management review boards.
Requirements/Qualifications:
1. Thorough understanding of Part 21, Part CAMO, Part 145 and Part Ops (plus RA 1000 > 5000 requirements).
2. Aircraft certification principles (including Certification programmes).
3. ATA chapters.
4. Hazard logs & analysis, including HAZID, HAZOP, FHA.
5. Analysis techniques like FTA, ETA, FMEA, FMES, and Bowtie.
6. Production of safety documentation.
7. Understanding of DO178 / DO254.
8. Familiarity with international standards such as IEC 61508, IEC 62368, ARP 4761, and ARP 4754.
