Role Summary
As a Quality Engineer, you will be an integral part of our QHSE function and will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s QMS, as well as acting as a key interface for Quality, with both internal and external customers. As part of your role, there will also be Inspection-related tasks which you are required to deliver.
Key Accountabilities
* The identification and implementation of quality improvement opportunities across the manufacturing site, branches, and suppliers.
* Administration and resolution of customer complaints including RCA and CAPA.
* Implementation and maintenance of process controls to support manufacturing processes, including quality plans, ITP and SOP's.
* Manage internal QMS and process audits.
* Monitor, measure and improve internal scrap and rework.
* Inspect and verify supplier initial samples.
* Collection and reporting of internal NCR data.
* Inspection, test and release activities as required, using standard engineering measuring equipment.
* Engage in Health, Safety & Environmental activities / tasks.
* Effective time management, organisational and prioritisation skills
* Rational thinker
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
Qualifications / Experience
* Time served experience in similar roles within similar industries
* Experience of reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment
* Mechanical Engineering qualification - Apprenticeship or similar
