I am a fully blind, autistic composer and trainee psychotherapist, looking for someone to support me as I work towards a more independent life.
I require help preparing meals, travelling to locations outside my home, managing administrative tasks (such as making phone calls and remembering to respond to emails), and sometimes managing and communicating in sensorily intense environments.
I sometimes require support accessing resources such as books, articles, and websites, or finding relevant information quickly.
I enjoy walking and would like to explore new places, be they historical sites or off-road places.
In the longer term, I would like to be able to do some of these things for myself, so someone willing to support me in learning the necessary skills would be hugely welcome.
An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
This is to check for any previous criminal records.
All relevant training will be provided.
This may be hoist safety, medication administering or food hygiene training as needed.
