Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - General Housing and D & B Housing
About the Role
An established and reputable construction company is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization delivering high-quality residential and commercial construction projects across North Wales and the North West. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the commercial and financial functions of multiple projects, ensuring cost control, value management, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all quantity surveying duties across multiple construction projects.
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
Conduct valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in contracts and financial planning.
Ensure compliance with contract terms, legal requirements, and company policies.
Work closely with project managers and site teams to monitor project progress and costs.
Provide commercial guidance to the construction team to maximize profitability.
Prepare and submit client applications for payment.
Assist in procurement and tendering processes.
Key Requirements
Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in a Senior QS role within the construction housing industry.
Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in cost management and estimating software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
