As part of the Ryefields team, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive school culture right from the start. The Role As a Teaching Assistant at Ryefields, you will support the educational, social, and emotional development of our students. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students. Providing one-to-one and small group support to help students engage in learning. Assisting with the implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Promoting positive behavior and emotional regulation using agreed strategies. Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Supporting students with personal care, where necessary, in a dignified and respectful manner. What We’re Looking For Experience working with children, ideally in a SEND or educational setting (desirable but not essential). A passion for supporting children with ASC and SEMH needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, are desirable but not essential.
