Managing the financial positionand supply chain relationships right is vital to the success of ourprojects therefore due to growth we are expanding our commercialteam and recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our teamin theNorthEast.
Asan Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will provide the commercialsupport to the senior surveying lead on one or a number of projectsacross the NorthEast to ensure that projects are procured deliveredwithin budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding ourcustomers expectations. Making sure that the financial position ofour project is accurate is essential and managing the contractualrelationships between the various parties is imperative.
Workingfrom our live construction projects youwill:
* Assistin accurately valuing certifying and issuing any relevant paymentnotices for the subcontract works in accordance with the conditionsof their subcontract.
* Procurementof work packages in line with company standards and requirementsfrom our proven supply chainpartners.
* Ensuringand/or providing support so that external valuations are submittedin accordance with conditions of the main contract and thatpayments are received by the due date.
* Supportingthe lead surveyor with the completion of CVC reports ensuring theyaccurately reflect the current position on site and the finalprofitprojection.
* Striveto build and establish excellent working relationships with oursupply chain consultants and clients where appropriate this willenable you to identify any potential disputes in a timely manner toyour line manager and then implement effectiveresolutions.
* Workclosely with the project team and senior commercial staff toachieve or exceed budgeted targets for yourproject.
