Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Neurology Service for a Support Medical Secretary to work 37.5 hours per week within the administration team based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. The successful applicant will ideally have previous secretarial experience, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, to work as part of the existing secretarial team. The role will involve supporting the Senior Medical Secretaries on a day to day basis with typing of outpatient letters to GP and other correspondence; dealing with enquiries from clinicians, GPs, other hospitals, patients and their relatives, updating medical records and inputting data to support with divisional targets, in addition to supporting the Directorate Management Team with tracking and validation of patient pathways to achieve the National 18-week Referral to Treatment (RTT) target. Main duties of the job The neurology team work closely together to support each other and the service. You will be given training and support on all appropriate systems and also be offered the necessary personal support to settle into the role to enable you to work competently with confidence.
