We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join our team to support the business in further growing our flagship award-winning product: AIVR. AIVR (Automated Intelligent Video Review) is a state-of-the-art video technology system used by thousands of people in the rail industry. AIVR has won dozens of awards and is recognised as the market leading solution, but we are building many more opportunities both in existing and new markets which will further accelerate our growth.

Role Summary
An exciting opportunity to work across our Delivery circle with various teams producing the technical images needed to inform production.
Namely, working with a product design team to produce 2d manufacturing drawings, general assemblies and wiring diagrams. Working with prototyping teams to produce 3d models for rapid iterative prototyping. Working with a systems team to produce system diagrams.
All to be completed to industry standards such as EN 50155, EN 50143, EN 62368, EN 61010
Core Skills
· Review and interpret technical information and requirements from different sources e.g. specifications, concepts, stakeholders
· Identify inaccuracies or discrepancies in engineering drawings and specifications and propose solutions
· Identify and assess factors that affect designs e.g. materials, application, location, risk and environment
· Design engineering concepts to solve engineering challenges
· Develop effective solutions which satisfy the required standards and can be manufactured, proven, operated and maintained in a cost-effective way whilst minimising costs
· Evaluate engineering designs to determine the most effective solution
· Produce detailed engineering drawings to relevant standards and codes, using paper and computer
· Check completed drawings for quality, technical compliance and completeness - both own or those of peers
· Communicate and coordinate engineering design options with relevant stakeholders, colleagues and clients using sketches, schemes, models, detailed drawings and reports
Core Technical Knowledge to be acquired
· Relevant national and industry health and safety, standards and legislation and those relevant to the specific disciplines, as appropriate
· Company management systems, policies and procedures
· Document management and change control
· Engineering codes and standards
· Fundamentals of engineering drawing and design
· Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, its appropriate application including 2D and 3D modeling
· Understand the impact of relevant factors that are important to the design e.g. the context in which you are working, the materials, components, assemblies, cost, quality, safety, security, risk, environmental impact, ergonomics, aesthetics, the end use and purpose of the design
· Manufacturing and/or construction methods as appropriate to the specific disciplines
· Relevance and application of Building Information Modelling (BIM)

Responsibilities
Drawing, Updating, filing CAD designs for hardware. Drawing, updating, filing wiring/system diagrams. Using the OBC CAD filing system to file external drawings. Modeling and printing parts for rapid prototyping.
Take part in site surveys occasionally as required.
Personal Qualities and Experience
Ideally Some 2D and 3D CAD experience, interest in product design. Interest in, and basic understanding of various fabrication technologies such as milling, turning, bending, drilling, and laser cutting. Interest and experience in 3D printing.
Has good visuo-spatial ability. Ability to apply skills to find practical solutions to design problems. Able to self-teach.
