Account Executive
Reporting to the Head of Beverage Account Management, working on a hybrid basis of 2/3 days a week on site at our headquarters on Buckshaw Village in Chorley, Lancashire.
Job Description:
The Account Management function is responsible for client retention, growth and contract management. Account Managers hold the ultimate responsibility for the commercial performance of our contracts and work with various departments across the business to bring together an excellent customer experience through service, new solutions and value to maintain strong relationships.
This role supports the Account Management function in managing client relations so you will work with Account Managers to support identification of new opportunities that benefit all parties. You will provide support to Account Managers through reporting, KPI and trend analysis, to drive the effectiveness of business processes which underpin performance on our contracts. As you learn and understand our clients’ businesses and what drives them you will help form commercial initiatives and continuous improvement projects across various business functions.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role, with exposure across the wider business so you will work to deliver excellent customer experiences with a focus towards commercial aspects of contract management. A development pathway to becoming an Account Manager will be provided with training and opportunities to grow and learn within a commercial client facing world.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to the Account Management function to maintain and broaden commercial and account relationships with clients
2. Provide administrative support to Account Managers
3. Support Account Managers in the delivery of key account plans and strategic goals
4. Support in the resolution of client escalations
5. Support Account Managers in delivering an excellent customer experience
6. Represent TVS SCS in interfaces with the client
7. Maintain effective action logs to manage multiple priorities
8. Support the maintenance of client reports
9. Occasional liaison with the client accounting team to support the planning and forecasting process
10. Contribute ideas to develop marketing and growth strategies
11. Identify and attend industry and networking events to grow network
12. Support in identifying new potential ideas to grow our pipeline
13. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders within TVS SCS
14. Develop industry insights and knowledge
15. Maintain monthly contract performance dashboards with the Account Manager
16. Attend client entertainment events
17. Support in on-time client payment in line with contracted terms
Though this position would be primarily office based at Chorley, applicants must be willing to travel and at times work from other locations, international travel may be required from time to time. Depending on experience and growth within the role, you may be asked to act as a principal manager of the relationship with the client’s management team for smaller-scale contracts, providing you with a step to becoming an Account Manager.
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to think creatively, maintain an optimistic and positive approach and be ready to learn. This is a client facing position so you will also need to have strong interpersonal skills and/or a willingness to learn these techniques.

Preferred
1. Experience in a commercial environment
2. Able to provide innovative and well thought out solutions
3. Support in the delivery of performance and financial targets, including budgetary cost control
4. Commercial, purchasing, supply chain and/or operational background
5. An understanding of the Beverage or Hospitality sectors
6. Proposal and presentation skills
7. Direct first-hand experience of dealing with clients
8. Educated to degree level or equivalent
