Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working (1 day min office a week - Bradford)
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Asset Manager - WW Enhancement to join the Strategy & Regulation team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Strategy & Regulation are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership of the development and agreement of the PR29 multi-billion pound investment plan for enhancement expenditure, along with the company's Periodic Review regulatory business case development and submissions in relation to enhancement expenditure. This includes ownership and maintenance of the Design and Value Engine (DAVE) model to ensure process understanding and cost implications of meeting future changing regulatory standards at our wastewater treatment works are quantified. Additionally, leadership of the development and agreement of the 25-year enhancement investment requirement ensures our regulatory compliance needs are identified, quantified, and understood by all stakeholders in the business.
Furthermore, leadership and creation of a 25-year investment strategy at an asset group level bringing together base and enhancement expenditure profiling in a way that balances the needs with other business objectives, such as borrowing. This strategy is reviewed annually to keep aligned with emerging business decisions. Responsibilities also include line management of three FTE specialists in asset planning and process change to meet changing environmental quality regulations, as well as regulatory and sector liaison as required, including responding to Ofwat queries and UKWIR representation on working groups.

As our Strategic Asset Manager - WW Enhancement you will undertake
* Interpretation of regulatory guidance into business advice and actions.
* Working with company SMEs to understand emerging enhancement investment needs over the medium and long term and articulating these through easily understandable graphics and other forms of business communications.
* AMP8 programme promotion activity, in ensuring asset management system inputs are fit for the purpose of decision making.
* The ability to think creatively in a challenging environment.
* Keeping abreast of emerging regulatory requirements and understanding/articulating the risks and opportunities posed to your area of accountability.
* Keeping abreast of AMP8 delivery and the challenges we face, to ensure an agreed and logical alignment to the PR29 regulatory submission.
* Representation of Yorkshire Water on external groups eg. UKWIR or system user groups.
* Ensure your team provides a suite of specialist skills to the business on a day-to-day basis and management of these services will be inherent to the successful delivery of the role.
* The role will require strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Degree level education or equivalent
* Experience of working in, or with, a regulated utility
* Experience of managing your own workload
* Ability to build and maintain internal and external networks
* A driven self-starter with a passion for excellence, and a track record of delivering results
* Certificate in Risk Management from Institute of Risk Management (can be undertaken in role)
* Certificate in Asset management from the Institute of Asset Management (can be undertaken in role)
* Full driving licence (as travel between locations may be required)
