Theatre Manager
Manchester, The Christie Private Care
Full time 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday - Saturday, Permanent

We are seeking a Theatre Manager to join our team at The Christie Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. The Christie Private Care is a joint venture between HCA and The NHS at The Christie Hospital in Manchester, and the largest private health provider globally.
What you'll do:
You will clinically support the Theatre department to promote and ensure that outstanding patient care is always provided. You will take responsibility to lead the department under the direction of the Head of Clinical Operations and be responsible for the deployment, supervision and mentoring of staff within the clinical area supporting the hospital management team in providing clinical leadership.
As the Theatre Manager, you will have budgetary responsibility and ensure that patient safety and outstanding patient experience is maintained throughout the department, while adhering to clinical governance and CQC standards.
As an effective, compassionate and visible leader you will drive the operational success of the team clinically to promote and ensure the delivery of the highest quality patient perioperative care.
Working closely with the Head of Clinical Operations you will take responsibility to appropriately manage theatre lists and workforce and to provide strategic and operational direction to build the departmental business; plan new services and introduce new technologies as required.
What you'll bring:
* Qualified practitioner and current registration with NMC or HCPC
* Previous leadership and influencing skills with the ability to motivate and enthuse individuals/teams
* Proven experience working in a leadership role
* Organisational skills and ability to prioritise and delegate workload effectively and respond to the needs of the department and the hospital
* The ability to set, implement and evaluate standards of evidence-based practice
* Experience in clinical governance within the perioperative setting
* Change management skills
* Excellent IT skills
