Glasgow Building Preservation Trust is looking for a Festival Manager to coordinate and deliver Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival.
Since introducing the concept to the UK in 1990, Glasgow Building Preservation Trust has organised the annual Glasgow Doors Open Day Festival in September each year. The festival attracts 30,000+ visits to over 200 events, including opening historic buildings, in-person and digital heritage trails, talks and other activities.
The Role:
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Festival Manager will deliver Glasgow Doors Open Day Festival, including fundraising, developing a programme, liaising with participant and partner organisations, and delivering marketing, press and publicity for the event (in conjunction with GBPT’s Marketing and Audience Development Officer).
As Festival Manager, you will work with a close-knit team of engaged and committed colleagues to deliver one of Scotland’s largest and best loved annual community heritage festivals.
Key Details:
This role is offered as a part-time (0.8 full time equivalent) permanent contract. We are open to considering a freelance contract for candidates with a portfolio of other roles.
The role is based on a 4 day work week (total 30 hours per week), however, in the three months leading up to the festival we anticipate full-time working (37.5 hours per week) will be required, with working hours reduced outside of this peak period.
The starting salary will be £32,500.00 reduced pro rata to £26,000.00, paid monthly.
