As the Graduate Editor you will be working on the flagship monthly publication and associated website, reports, directories and worldwide conference events. The role offers regular international travel to conduct editorial assignments and attend/deliver industry events in the Europe, Middle East/Africa, Asia and the Americas. Surrey based £25,000 - £30,000 (DOE) Hybrid (minimum of 3 days in the office) International travel Job Description: Report to the Managing Editor and work alongside an experienced editorial team to produce a monthly magazine, a range of respected business intelligence products, webinars and international conferences. Editing and layout of articles for publication in print and online. Providing administrative support, including liaising with authors. Conducting industry research, writing articles and carrying out interviews with senior industry figures. Sourcing, summarising and editing international news. Coordinating social media campaigns on LinkedIn. Support international conference activities of the company, including preparation of sales and marketing materials. Person Specification: Educated to degree level (minimum 2:1). Excellent writing skills, plus a good standard of numeracy. Applicants may come from a publishing and journalism background, and experience in other related disciplines would be an advantage (humanities, economics, science). Applicants will have excellent writing skills and a passion for both print and digital publishing. Willing to develop editorial skills. Ability to work to daily and monthly deadlines. Competent in Word, Excel and a willingness to learn and use a range of publishing software/digital platforms (InDesign, Photoshop, Powerpoint etc). Willingness to develop a deep understanding of a major global industrial sector Ability to undertake international travel.
