About Bridge House Estates Bridge House Estates (BHE) is a 900-year-old historic charity and the 7th largest charity in the UK in terms of asset valuation. BHE's primary purpose is to maintain and support five of London's most iconic Thames bridges, and its secondary purpose is to deliver further impact through its charitable funding and activities, delivered in the name of City Bridge Foundation (CBF). The client Corporation (City Corporation) is the corporate trustee of BHE. Purpose of Post As part of a team of Funding Officers, the role works collaboratively to provide core business support within CBF, anchoring all activity in the charity's core values. This enables the successful delivery of its charitable funding strategy: tackling inequality in London and enabling every individual and community to thrive. Main Purpose of the Post: Provide CBF with administrative support. Assist with producing CBF Board and Grants Committee papers, administering meeting decisions, and servicing internal meetings. Provide initial advice and information to potential and current recipients of charitable funding. Support the effective monitoring and evaluation of charitable funding agreements/social investments. Manage data, information, and content across databases, shared files, the website, and intranet, including generating reports and maintaining accuracy. Assist in the planning and coordination of promotional events. Main Duties & Responsibilities Process charitable funding applications and social investment proposals. Support the management of active agreements, including updating databases and providing administrative assistance to Funding Managers. Lead on a specific business support area, ensuring efficient delivery and identifying opportunities for improvement. Prepare accurate and timely reports, including CBF Board and Grants Committee papers and correspondence. Respond effectively to detailed enquiries from City Corporation members, staff, and external stakeholders about CBF's work and funding processes. Administer reporting processes, handle queries, and ensure data accuracy in databases while producing relevant data reports. Maintain document-management systems and ensure their accuracy and timeliness. Undertake general administrative tasks and support the CBF team as required. Participate in relevant training to enhance skills and contribute ideas for improving CBF's business support function. Support and implement CBF's strategies, including its Charitable Funding Strategy, Bridging London, Philanthropy Strategy, and Climate Action Strategy. Foster a values-led, motivational, and innovative team culture while promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.
