Credit Controller
£28,000 - £31,000 plus annual bonus + 33 days holiday + pension + healthcare

What does the company do?
A dynamic and forward-thinking global chemical manufacturer.
My client is currently hiring a Credit Controller to join the team. The Credit Controller will be responsible for effectively and efficiently conducting the debtor's collections process; providing support within the finance team as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the company credit control system.
Ensure that debts are paid on a timely manner.
Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales.
Daily Cash Book completion and reconciliations within agreed timescales.
To liaise with the bank and manage the bank account balances as and when required.
Control of customer commission accruals and payments.
Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.
Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness.
Provide accurate advice on billing queries.
Respond promptly and completely to both external and internal enquiries.
Propose write-off of irrecoverable debt and disbursements.
Recovery of debt by referring debts to solicitors for recovery as required.
Provide ad-hoc reporting as and when required.
Undertake account reconciliations as required.
Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required.
Send out monthly customer statements/letters as may be agreed from time to time.
Develop the credit management capability within the business.
To work closely with the Customer Services Team to ensure data records are correct.
To assist the Management Accountant and Finance team colleagues with day to day tasks and when necessary provide cover for an absent team member due to holidays.
Ensure all areas of responsibility meet expected housekeeping standards and comply with the Quality Management Systems.
To liaise both in person and electronically, with both internal and external stakeholders, in a professional manner at all times.
To support the month-end process with agreeing inter-company balances with related parties.Qualifications and Requirements
Demonstrable experience of working within the credit control function in a high volume, global business with turnover > $100m.
Familiar with accounting procedures, ledgers and general accounts.
Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience of ERP systems (ORACLE) or similar would be advantageous.
Excellent numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy.Preferred Qualifications:
