Rodenhurst School provides individualised SEN education within a tailored therapeutic learning environment specialising in SEMH needs.
We are a family-feel school who have recently been rated Good in all areas by OFSTED and are proud of the strong bonds we have established to support our pupils, recognized as encompassing Family Care's mission of 'significantly improving the lives of children and young people'.
We cater for up to 15 pupils, all of whom have an EHC plan, and are looking for a dynamic and creative Early Years teacher to join our dedicated team. Small student numbers mean we can give our very best to the young people who come through our doors every day, whether that is a role model to look up to or a safe person to trust.
The role involves supporting these young people with their education and enabling them to be the best they can be, supporting them to discover and achieve towards their future aspirations.
We are situated within the beautiful Shropshire countryside, with views of the Wrekin, within commuting distance of both Telford and Shrewsbury.
The Role:
* To undertake a designated programme of teaching across EYFS and willingness to teach KS1.
* Teach consistently high-quality lessons as highlighted in the new Teaching Standards.
* Act as a role model through an open-door policy in lessons and modelling best practice.
* To maintain appropriate records and to provide relevant accurate and up-to-date information for the Management Information system.
* To complete the relevant documentation to assist in the tracking of students in lessons taught.
* Prioritise and manage time effectively, undertaking continued professional development in line with the role.
* To follow the Family Care Education policies and procedures.
* To maintain discipline in accordance with the school procedures, and to encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework.
* Update professional knowledge and expertise as appropriate to keep up to date with developments in teaching practice and methodology in general, and in the curriculum areas taught in.
* Ensuring a high-quality learning environment within the curriculum areas taught in.
* Plan and deliver schemes of work and lessons that meet the requirements of classes taught.
* Be a role model for SEND students, inspiring them to be actively interested in subjects taught.
* To ensure the effective/efficient deployment of classroom support in the classroom.
* Follow schemes of work for subjects taught at all Key Stages.
* Promote aspects of Personal Development relevant to SEND students.
* Promote student learning through involvement in out of hours activities.
What we are looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (required)
* 1 year experience (preferred)
* Creative, committed and therapeutic individual
What we offer:
* Salary: up to £38,551.50
* Company pension
* Sick pay after qualifying period
Additional Information:
* Full time Permanent; Monday to Friday
* Pay 40 weeks, plus 12 weeks holiday pay, totalling 52 weeks, annualised and paid in 12 equal monthly payments
